Dublin, Ireland, 12th January, 2016 – Lobo Leasing, a leading global helicopter leasing company, announced the addition of Mark Kelly as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Lobo Leasing Ltd. to lead its global headquarters in Dublin and report to Lobo CEO, Bill Wolf. Kelly has a wealth of experience in the rotor industry and in building and managing highly successful teams.
Kelly will have oversight of the company’s global commercial activities and operations of Lobo’s Dublin headquarters. Kelly joins Lobo from Lease Corporation International (LCI), where he served as Vice President of Marketing handling business development. During Kelly’s time at LCI, he added new client relationships and achieved repeat business including the leasing of new helicopters as well as sale and leaseback transactions. A fully trained and experienced helicopter pilot, Mark has deep industry experience, particularly in search and rescue. Prior to his position at LCI, Mark was the Managing Director of CHC Ireland where he led the team that successfully bid for the Irish Coast Guard search and rescue service contract and oversaw its fleet replacement process, including team, management and project innovation. As a pilot, Mark worked mainly in search and rescue where he became Chief Pilot at Shannon. Prior to search and rescue, he worked as a pilot on OGP operations in the North Sea.
“I am thrilled that Mark has joined our team,” said Wolf. “He shares our values and our focus on bringing innovative solutions to the market. His proven track record in the industry speaks to his exceptional leadership and customer relationship talents.”
“I am delighted to lead Lobo’s operations in Ireland and thrilled to be joining the company at an exciting time in its development,” says Kelly. “There is an energy and passion among Lobo’s global team that translates into tremendous value for customers and partners working with them. I am looking forward to building on the successful foundations already in place and helping to accelerate growth of the business.”
Lobo co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, John Contas, who moved to Dublin in early 2014 to lead the establishment of Lobo’s Dublin headquarters, will be returning to the US office of Lobo in San Francisco where he will focus on marketing, customer relations and business development activities. “We are grateful to John for having taken on the challenge of opening and building-up Lobo’s Dublin office during the past two years. He has built a terrific team and the plan has always been for John to return to the US once we recruited a permanent managing director and we certainly found the right person in Mark Kelly,” commented Wolf.
